By train to Deutschkreutz station: You can take a relaxing train ride toward Central Burgenland. The best part for Burgenland Card holders: The trip is fully included on Burgenland’s rail lines! From the fare zones Neudörfl or Neufeld an der Leitha you travel for free all the way to your final destination, Deutschkreutz.

Important detail for the trip through Hungary: The sections through Hungarian territory (Baumgarten–Sopron–Deutschkreutz & Loipersbach–Sopron–Deutschkreutz) on ÖBB and Raaberbahn trains are also fully covered by the Burgenland Card!

By bus from Vienna: If you’re traveling from Vienna on the VOR bus lines instead, you can ride for free with a valid Burgenland Card from the state border all the way to Oberpullendorf.

The perfect final leg with BAST (Burgenland Call Taxi): From the train station or transit hub, you can seamlessly continue your journey with the BAST. The stop is located directly across from our farm (Stop: Lutzmannsburg Town Center). Get off, take the on-demand taxi for a small fare under the regional fare system, and arrive directly at your destination.
Good to Know – BAST Hours: BAST is open Monday through Sunday during the following hours:

3:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.: As a feeder route to the main transportation arteries.

8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.: For local transportation directly between all stops.

7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: For rides away from major thoroughfares. (Please remember to book your ride in advance by phone or through the app!)

On-site bike rental: We have 2 bikes available for rent right here on the farm for spontaneous outings.

Additional bike rentals right next to the Sonnentherme: If you need e-bikes or a larger number of bikes, you can easily rent them in our immediate vicinity at Hotel Kurz or at the Thermenhotel Sonnenpark, right next to the Sonnentherme.

Food & Wine on Foot: The outstanding Lutzmannsburg winemakers are easily accessible from the farm. And if you’re feeling hungry between meals or in the evening, you can easily and safely walk to places like the Lutzburg Stub’n, Pizzeria Sunny, or Café Sunny.

From where can I travel for free by train with the Burgenland Card ?
As soon as you reach Burgenland by train – specifically from the stations Neudörfl or Neufeld an der Leitha – the journey to your destination station Deutschkreutz is completely free for you as a Burgenland Card holder. This explicitly also applies to the sections of the route that go via Sopron (Hungary).
Does the free transportation also apply to the bus from Vienna?
Yes, if you’re traveling by public bus, you can use a valid Burgenland Card to ride for free from the state border all the way to Oberpullendorf.
When exactly does the BAST on-call taxi run?
The BAST runs Monday through Sunday nearly around the clock (from 3:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.) on a shift basis, providing shuttle service to and from the area, and between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for direct trips between local stops. It takes you directly to the “Lutzmannsburg Ortsmitte” stop across from our Hof.h.
Where can I get bikes if there are more than two of us?
We have two bicycles available right here on our farm. If you need additional bikes or modern e-bikes, you can easily rent them right next to the nearby Sonnentherme through the rental stations operated by our partner businesses, Hotel Kurz or Sonnenpark.
Can I take care of my own meals while I’m there if I don’t have a car?
Yes, the local shops in Lutzmannsburg are easily accessible on foot or by bike. Plus, there are excellent wineries and cozy restaurants in town—like the Lutzburg Stub’n, Pizzeria Sunny, and Café Sunny—all within easy walking distance, so you’ll be well taken care of when it comes to food.
