Nature, culture and enjoyment
Conscious vacation in the listed Streckhof
The Tschardakenhof combines historical heritage, regional character and a conscious use of resources.
“Travel consciously. Enjoy regionally.””
The Tschardakenhof combines the preservation of historic buildings with a conscious use of resources. Our aim is to preserve the cultural heritage of Central Burgenland and at the same time to operate in a resource-conserving, socially responsible, long-term and regionally oriented manner. The conscious use of resources is firmly anchored in our day-to-day operations and is constantly being developed further.
Sustainability begins with preserving what we already have
For us, sustainability means more than just saving energy and separating waste. It begins with the decision to preserve and carefully develop historic buildings.
The Tschardakenhof is a listed Pannonian Streckhof dating back to 1829. Instead of building new areas, the farm was revitalized with great respect for its history and adapted to the needs of modern vacation guests.
Historic walls, traditional arcades, old doors and numerous original elements have been preserved. Today, cultural heritage, regional character and contemporary comfort are combined under one roof.
For us, the preservation of existing buildings is an important contribution to the responsible use of resources and the preservation of the regional building culture of Central Burgenland.
“Austrian Ecolabel”
Since July 2025, we have also been the proud bearer of the Austrian Ecolabel! The award of the Austrian Ecolabel confirms our way of anchoring ecological, social and economic responsibility in our day-to-day operations in the long term.
We see sustainability as a combination of resource conservation, regionality, preservation of historic buildings and a conscious approach to our environment.
“Member of the Naturidylle Hotels”
The Tschardakenhof is a member of the Naturidylle Hotels – a community of selected Austrian hosts who stand for nature-oriented vacations, regionality, personal hospitality and a conscious use of resources.
What unites us is the conviction that vacations do not always have to be bigger, faster or louder. Instead, the focus is on quality, slowing down and authentic vacation experiences.
